Work to Survive
Jim is a young adult who left college after a serious illness. When he was recovered, there are two ways for him to choose; continuing to study in college or apply for a job. After thinking many times of back and forth between the two choices, he still has no clue of what to do. Jim is some how a lucky boy, soon there is a job offer directly pointed at him. Be honest, he prefers doing nothing than doing something. For the first time in his life, he is forced himself to do something unpleasant for his own good. Which is to survive, to have money. Even though the first few weeks, Jim had no idea how to fit into the team. But he worked hard to show his ability. During this time, he felt lazy one day because of the repeated boring work. He started to playing computer games in work time! And caught by his boss. The boss didn’t say anything about it, but Jim felt regret and guilty. The day after, Jim put himself into the new project and started working on it. He deleted the games, and a blinking thought crossed his mind, “Maybe this is a good sign for me, because I can be more focused on my work; and don’t think too much about other things. More importantly, I will get paid for my efforts in this project.” Jim continues to work hard, and he gains recognition from his team.
