Broken Hearts Never Heal
Ian tried to avoid Olivia’s gaze.
“So…”
“No, Olivia, I’m sorry.”
“Ian, you can’t live like this forever! We’ve been dating for a month now, can’t we make it official?”
Ian refused. He couldn’t replace Sophie, not like this.
“I’ve already told you, I’ll date, but I won’t be a boyfriend.”
“Ian,”
She took his hand,
“you’re so stuck on the memory of Sophie, you’re not willing to love someone else.”
He shook her hand off.
“You havn’t been through the heartbreak I have Olivia, you’ll never understand.”
She glared.
“So that’s it, huh? You dump me on the street because you’re so obessed with some dead girl?”
Anger boiled in his throat.
“Leave now.”
He could feel his fists clenching.
“No, I can’t leave you like this. I like you Ian, and I know you like me too, you’re just to scared to admit it.”
“Fine, you won’t leave, I will.”
He headed down the street, pulling his coat closer around him.
“Ian!”
He heard her cry.
“Ian please! It’s been so hard to find someone who cares about me that I like too, please!”
He stopped short.
She ran to him.
Tears were pouring down her face.
“Please.”
She clenched his hand tightly.
He pulled some money out of his pocket.
“Forgot to pay the check. Have a nice life Olivia.”
He could hear her bawling behind him as he walked forward.
