POEM STARTER

Try writing a romantic Pantoum.

A pantoum is a poem where each stanza is 4 lines, and the second and fourth line of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines of the next.

The Wake

You bore a twilight halo, soft and clear,

The last time I saw you, the night slowly crept through the Autumn air.

With your beautiful face, I glimpsed the edge of dreams you held so near,

Looking at me with love, your gaze, a quiet flame beyond compare.

The last time I saw you, the night slowly crept through the Autumn air,

I could not forget that time was fading fast.

Looking at me with love, your gaze, a quiet flame beyond compare,

Would be seal my fate when dawn came at last.
