POEM STARTER

Start a poem with an onomatopoeia and end it with a different one.

An onomatopoeia is a word that mimics the sound of something such as bark, boom, or screech. These sounds can tell a story if used effectively!

Hail To The Hail!

*Krackaboom!*

Behold a piece of hail

That I’ve brought inside

To the cosy house where

My family resides.

This piece of hail,

No bigger than a stone,

Can be the cause of many problems such as

Electrical outage, broken bones.

So behold! This piece of nature

So powerful yet small!

Beautifully imperfect,

A bumpy icy ball.

So examine it! Love it!

It’s something to adore.

Hey, where’d it go,

And what’s the puddle on the floor?

*drip…drop…*
