POEM STARTER
Write a poem that could be titled “In the Kitchen”.
What is the reason for the setting? What imagery might best be used?
In The Kitchen
A dash of vanilla,
A yolk of an egg.
A cup of flour,
A stick of butter.
A handful of chocolate chips,
Make a batch of yummy dough.
After ten minutes,
It smells Devine.
In the kitchen,
I take a bite.
Damn it, I say,
For someone switched sugar for salt.
Happy April fools,
Now it’s your turn to take a bite.
