These creatures were humankinds’ best friend. In the year 2030, artificial intelligence excelled and replaced manual thinking. Back then dogs were man’s best friend but due to a miscalculation of resources, all dogs were sent outer space to fight supposed aliens that were defined in algorithms. No dogs returned.

Cats become the household pet and one day, some mad scientist / AI expert put an AI chip into cats. They branded them Catalytic Artificial Technofelines. They were smart and they soon helped humankind in more way than they could imagine.

CATs grew more intelligent and decided to be more accepted by their masters in the long term, they crafted humonoid bodies to support their feline heads. That is why cats no longer exist but CATs do.
