Years Away

How sad to think how fast we age

Too eager to grow

And too soon to be old

Frightful and unable

To comprehend how we spoild

All of that of which childhood brought

And too sorrowful to see some who never got

To be young and carefree

No taxes and bills

Only crayons and puppet shows

And funny videos

How soon we change

How we use to look at stars and dream of outer space

Now we have to make money and pretend it’s okay

Now we look to the heavens and think

The sky full of stars seem so dead and cold

A place once so magical now hurts to behold
