Describe an object’s temperature without using words relating to tactile senses.

Tactile senses, or the sense of touch, are usually what we use to identify whether something is hot or cold. Without this sense, how else can we recognise and describe temperature?

The kettle

The kettle radiated a warmth. It was red. It was something that could make your skin crawl, just the simple touch of the kettle would numb your hand. Imagine the your hand melting, dripping at the simple touch of the kettle. It was something so simple yet so harmful.
