POEM STARTER
Mysteries of the Night
Whether something natural and beautiful like the stars, or something more sinister, write a poem that focuses on things that are most prominent at night.
The Sea Outside
I walk by the shore and watch the bubbles rise
Seeing waves moves as if alive
I dared to ask what it wanted from me
The stars had fled hidden within the sky as it spoke out loud, let me free
A cold current crashed at my spine
Hands a tremble as my uncertain eyes
tried to turn away from the sight
Lights that aimed at me alone
At the first a drop had fallen
Before the abyss swallowed me whole
As if I was a doll being thrown and bruise
Restrained and held by the strings of fate
Crackle of thunder hollers of the deep
Until the flock by the sea called for me
The sand stained my cloths
I finally rose heavy within the false sleep
No sun or moon
Sky all blue
And here I stand
Just outside the reach of the sea
