Rapunzel

There once was a powerful and dreadful scientist. This scientist lived in a high lab that overlooked tents that had cures. And in these tents had the newest and most affective cures and antidotes.

Next to the scientist’s land stood a sad and tiny beat up RV in which lived a poor man and his wife. The wife was expecting the couple’s first child.

One evening, the couple sat on their bed because the wife was ill.

“My dear husband,” she said, “I would love just a vaccine that is in the scientist’s lab for a Reprieve for the punzel virus. It would make me feel so much better.”

So later that night, the poor man climbed the electric fence to the scientist’s tents and headed into one that had the medicine his wife requested.

Just as he picked up the vile, he could heard the sounds of beakers. He spun around to see the scientist!

“How dare you enter my lab!” Yelled the scientist.

“And what do I see? You were trying to steal some of my viles? Why, I never!”

The man cowered behind a table of viles, and begged the angry scientist not to hurt him. “I meant no harm! I was merely trying to pick a bit for my dying wife,” he cried.

“Go home.” Replied the scientist. “Take all that you want from my lab. But when your child comes, I shall take her for my own!”

The scared man climbed back over the lab wall and hurried home, his pockets full of medical liquids.

His wife got her douce of medicine and felt much better. She was so close to the verge of death she named her child Repunzel. Her husband didn’t tell her about the scientist’s nasty threat.

A short time later, a baby girl was born. The woman named her child Repunzel. Later that day, there was a knock on the door. It was the scientist!”

“As I promised,” said the scientist, “ I am here to take your child.”

“What is she talking about? Get off our property!” The woman yelled at the scientist. But the scientist just took the child out of her hands.

Now, while this scientist was very mean, she was also very smart. She knew that the child’s parents might try to find her, so she locked little Rapunzel in her abandoned lab testing facility.

Days turned into months, and months turned into years, while little Rapunzel grew from an infant to a beautiful young woman.

During her many years in the tower, Rapunzel had never been allowed to cut her hair. So she had two long golden braids.

The lab was on a cliff under an ocean. Repunzel threw her hair down to the scientist who came on a boat, to the words; “Repunzel, Repunzel let down your gold hair!” And she would obey.

One day a handsome lab technician got and internship at the lab. From outside her room he could hear her cry. The scientist would soon exit the room and leave the girl crying.

Threw the window, the lab technician was surprised to see a beautiful girl with long golden hair. She was perched at a window overlooking the sea. He could see the scientist climb her hair back inside the lab.

He came in the room after the scientist left.

“Who are you?” And why were you crying?” He asked.

“I am Repunzel.” She replied, “an old scientist stole me from my parents when I was an infant. And she made my tears magic.”

“I will save you, follow me.” He climbed down the hair onto a boat.

“Jump!” He called to her.

The technician sailed her back to her parents. Soon the scientist came back to the room finding the girl and his worker gone.

It had been many years since the scientist had stolen their child, and the poor man and his wife had grown old.

Yet their faces disappeared when they saw the beautiful girl with golden hair.

“I am your daughter, Repunzel.” And the girl said, “ this brave lab technician saved me from a testing facility. He would like us to stay with him at his mansion.”

And that’s exactly what they did, and they lived happily ever after.
