Forever Gone

“But! I must warn you magic come with a price, are you willing to pay?” She said.

Lucy gulped and mumbled a shaky yes. This was now or never.

“Are you sure?” She asked. Lucy nodded. Her bottom lip trembeled.

“Wait!” Lucy suddenly said, “can I write a note to my mother first?”

“Fine.” She rolled her eyes. Lucy took out a pen and paper from her backpack. In neat handwriting she wrote:

Dear Mother,

I’ll love you forever

-Your daughter, Lucy

It wasn’t much, but the letter meant a lot to Lucy. She took a deep breath. “Do it.”

“Wait, may I ask why you’re doing this?” She suddenly asked.

“My m-mother is in the hospital and super close to death, I-I just want to make her feel better, so I’ll give my life to her.” Lucy shed a few tears.

“Alright, here goes,” She said, “Make Lucy dissapear, never to reappear. In favor of her mother, who will always love her.”

Lucy looked down at her hands. They were fading away. In seconds she was just dust.
