POEM STARTER

Life Without You
Write a poem or short story about what life would be like without the person you care about the most.
Without You, Little Sister
In shadows where her laughter used to soar,
A hollow space now cradles whispered dreams.
The world, once vivid, now wears a muted veil,
Each moment slips like sand through trembling hands.
Her smile, a beacon of light in our darkest hours,
Now haunts the corners of our aching hearts.
We stumble through the labyrinth of loss,
Each step a ghost, an echo of her name.
The games we played, the love we shared,
Are threads unraveled in this tapestry.
We search for signs within trees and rustling leaves,
As if her spirit will return on winds.
Yet life persists, though heavy hangs the air,
A bittersweet refrain of love and ache.
We hold her close within our silent thoughts,
Guardians of all left behind by her.
In every heartbeat, we feel her near,
A pulse of joy entwined with sorrows weight.
Though time may dull the edges of our pain,
Her laughter dances in the light of day.
So we will carry her through every storm,
With every breath, we’ll honour what we had.
In life and memory, she will remain,
A cherished echo, as timeless as the stars.
And in the quiet hours, when shadows swell,
We’ll find her in the stillness of our souls.
A bond unbroken, woven through years,
In every tear, a testament of love.
