If Wishes Felt Like Rain
From this place I will never walk away
If you never ask me to leave
I will assure you I have enough air
Even when I can barely breath
Part of me says I’m satisfied with far away views
But the other half has daydreams of being in places of magazines and photographs I’m always flipping through
If there’s one thing I know, it’s that I’ll never know if I never try
But if it means leaving you, my heart away from yours, they’ll have to pry.
Perhaps we are just different sides of the same soul?
Perhaps the world is cold enough to bring twin flames together with different goals?
I burn for you as a twin flame would
But my wish is to be where few have stood.
Yes, the world is cold with pain
Yet I have your hold to keep me warm
But if wishes felt like rain,
then certainly
I was a storm
