You are out walking when you see a person sitting alone on a bench under a Willow tree, crying. Write a poem about them.
This could be written as though you are observing the person but not interacting, or as though you have approached the person and offered to help.
Worries
The jogger rushing by was late for work, but they wanted to get in a few extra miles
The day has come, would they fit in the subway seat after so many trials?
The old lady with the pug, comes strolling by
Did you know that yesterday she sung to her baby their last lullaby?
A fawn in the distance, struggling to stand
Did you know her mother was killed by a man?
A figure upon a hill, under the willows soft flurries
You know their story, what happened to them
You know what makes them shake, soft worries
