He couldn’t help but notice the small tattoo with the word “breathe” on her right shoulder. It struck him as ironic in the moment and he could barely stifle his laughter, instead going for a quiet snicker that satisfied his urge. He remembered the last time he saw her breathe and he is sure she wished she was able to stop sooner.
This is a great small paragraph that leads into a much more in depth story!
I really like this one. You accomplish so much in such a small amount of sentences. You get a message across without speaking to the audience like they’re stupid, and I love your use of the third person perspective. Now all I want to do is read more of this story. This seems like a good intro leading into a flashback or a good conclusion
