POEM STARTER

“You’ve come back, but I no longer need you.”
Write a poem or short story including this line.
I’ve moved on
you left when i needed you. i was shattered and calling for help but you left. now you’re back. laughing in my face at all i have so worked for. you’re here asking for more from me. i gave you all i had and left me nothing. then you left without a trace. and i was like dust. forgotten and hidding in the dark unused corners of my mind. my walls had fallen down and i let you in, but you didnt like the person you found, so you left.
now those walls a up, tall and proud. and unbreakable.
you’ve come back, but i no longer need you.
you stand there laughing at my pain, my past and all i care for. but i can see through your flimsy mask. your breaking on the inside. that’s why you’re crawling back to me.
but ive moved on, and you should to.
i’ve moved on and become a better person but you have sunk lower than i ever did.
ive moved on, but you are still asking for more.
i dug my grave and buried myself. i begged for help. you didnt even look my way.
you dont get to push me off that cliff when i have worked so hard to climb back up.
so get out of my life
cause ive moved on
