The Mirror
Nora pulls the chain light, faintly illuminating the basements dusty gloom. There she finds an old cracked mirror among a pile of rubbish, it’s glass smudged with grime.
She wipes the grime clean, revealing her reflection— but something wasn’t right. In the mirror, the basements door was open, but she looked behind her, the door was shut .
She glanced back at the mirror— her reflection grinned, she didn’t .
The light above flickered out, shoving her into darkness. Frightened. She turned to run— but smacked into a wall. The mirror vanished.
On the other side, her reflection pounded on the glass, screaming. But no sound heard.
Claire was no longer the one holding the chain light.
