I wake up to the song of chirping of birds hearing it helps me forget that I’m blind. I hear the birds beautiful song I can hear the wind. All I have ever wanted in life is to fly like a bird they are just so free. I decide to sit there for a few minutes but I have to get ready for the big day because today is the day that I get my new eyes. So I make my way to the bathroom and wash up with the help of my mother. She has me put on my finest dress and we make our way to the doctors. Mother told me he was the best doctor in the country and that he was the one who would make me see again. I was born blind because of problems with the pregnancy. But being blind never really bothered me because I felt things around me with my other senses. We had arrived at the doctors and I said goodbye to mother. I woke up I was in a bed and I could hear my mother’s voice. When she noticed that I was awake they took my bandages off and I could now see my mothers face and before I know she was crying. She thanked the doctor and we left. When we got home for the first time in my life I didn’t need help getting to the door and when I opened it my dog ran to me I was overjoyed when I saw her. Today has probably been the best day of my life. I made my way to the garden while mother cleaned up this was my favorite place. But I could see all of the flowers and the animals. I looked into the sky and saw the birds they looked so free flying around I envy them. But soon after got home I couldn’t wait to show him my eyes but when I got in the house I saw something else father wasn’t the same and he hit mother she was on the ground crying and he turned around and headed towards me and I ran up to the stairs but he caught me I tried to get away but I couldn’t. He hit me and called me names and my mother tried to get him away but he pushed her to the ground and threw the bottle he was drinking out of at the wall. I took this chance to run I mad it into my room and locked the door. I started to sob this world is so ugly so I climbed in my bed and looked out of the wind and saw the birds. Then I thought if I tried maybe I could fly like the birds so I went to my open window. Then I heard banning on the door I turned around and the door was yanked open but it was to late I was already flying with the birds.
