POEM STARTER

The sky full of stars seemed dead and cold; a place once so magical now hurt to behold.

Write a rhyming poem that ends with this line.

The Light Of Hope

Once upon a time, fields seemed to go on forever.

Skipping through dancing grass,

White Lillie’s pure, young, and clever.

Just me, and in the distance a lonely lass.

As I approached she looks down,

I match her gaze, we stare at the ground.

In the end, we became friends.

For years we made amends.

Things change, hairs grey, life fades.

My life stayed. Now the grounds cold.

I run my fingers over a grave,

I sit in the field, where we once grew old.

The fields white Lillie’s, mourning a loss.

Her name was lily. what a lucky dice I rolled.

Up I look, but everything’s off.

The sky so full of stars seemed dead and cold;

A place once so magical now hurt to behold.
