Your warm smile Your bright eyes The way you held me When I cried Your loyalty To me To your country When duty called, I said goodbye When I should’ve been there By your side Now all I have to remember you Is this envelope inscribed: “I’m so sorry, my dear,” “I must bid you adieu.” “May meet again sometime soon.”
