“Regulus! Silvius!” 𝘗𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴.

Regulus almost asked the man what he was talking about, but almost immediately thought better of it. Silvius, always so quick to ask questions, had remained silent.

And Silvius never quite seemed to switch off entirely, so he’d have heard it. Loud and clear.

He paid close attention after that, watching Silvius’ face a little too intently to be natural and trying his best to ignore the out-of-place words from the servants. Panic stirred every single time Zachary seemed to apologise to the twins, to the king, the queen… everyone.

And by nightfall, he knew why.
