Here’s the thing about being alone in this world. You have complete control over what happens and no control at the same time.

For me, my control, no control is my mind.

My favorite place in the world is the little boat ramp in a lake behind my family’s land. I go there at night to clear my mind to the sounds of the waves lapping. Only this time i got stuck.

It was like being submerged into the lake. I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself, and i woke up in a hallway in my mind.

Doors lined the walls, it was surreal. When i left my subconscious it was like waking up from a dream, but i knew i’d been awake the entire time.

I remembered a strange man in a suit.

I remembered gold embellishments on a blazing red door.

I remembered a void of nothingness behind a hot pink door.

It was out of this world, and it’s happened twice since then. I keep trying to analyze it, because there’s a bit of a relationship between the future and my mind-scape.

I go out to my ramp everyday now to escape into my mind.
