POEM STARTER

Write a poem that only involves dialogue.

Remember dialogue has to be between two or more people; it cannot be a monologue. Try to make it clear which voice is speaking when.

Why does a full heart need more?

“You don’t understand how it feels, To have your heart so plainly snapped In two, by the very man who pieced It together and made it glow.” How can you say that? I do. I do. My heart is shattered by what I Have done, you gave me so much Love and I have failed you. “Why does a full heart need more? Why wasn’t my love enough for You, for us? You’ve torn my life to Shreds and I’m lost in darkness.” It wasn’t like that, my angel, my love, You are all I have ever wanted, Ever needed. I was weak, vulnerable, A man has needs and- “A man has needs? Helpless desires? Man has a mind, man has a heart, man Had love. Our lives were so wonderfully Intertwined, in sync, melodic.” Find it within yourself to forgive me, It was a moment I can never revoke, but I ache with sorrow. I’m drowning in waves Of regret, pulling me under. “A moment of passion has destroyed Us, dear husband, you can’t regret what you Wanted. In that ‘moment,’ it was not me In your heart. It’s done. It’s over.”
