The End of Ladybug and Chat Noir
“Kitty, I’ve already told you. We can never know eachothers true identities. If shadow-moth—“ Ladybug was interrupted by Chat Noir.
“If shadow-moth nothing M’lady. I love you and I don’t care who you are under the mask. I want to be with you,” Chat Noir cut her off.
“Kitty- I know, I-it’s just too much of a risk, and I’ve already told you, I’m in love with someone else.”
“Who knows, maybe I’m him under the mask!? Maybe we could’ve been together this whole time but you didn’t want to take the risk.”
“Chat, I doubt it. You two are practically opposites.” And there’s no way Adrian’s father wouldn’t notice him sneaking off and being a superhero with his tight schedule. Ladybug thought.
“Maybe we’re more alike than you think,” Chat said. I mean, what if Ladybug goes to my school? What if she’s in my class? We’re both in high school! What if she’s one of my friends? Like Alya, Chloe, or Marinette.
“No Chat, trust me. You aren’t. I have to go. I’ll see you later kitty cat.”
“Goodbye bug a boo.”
“Bye kitty.”
Ladybug swung away using her yo-yo to get back home to the bakery.
“Tiki! Spots off.”
“You know you can’t ever tell Chat Noir who you are. Right Marinette?” Tiki asked.
“Yes Tiki, I know. That’s what I told him.” She replied, as she fed Tiki strawberry macaroons. “I’ll never tell Chat who I am. Not until Shadowmoth is unmasked and put behind bars for his crimes.”
Marinettes phone rang and she attomatically picked up and said hello, thinking it was Alya.
“Hi Alya,” Marinette said.
“I’m not Alya,” Adrian said.
“Ahh!!” Marinette screamed, almost dropping the phone. After she’d collected herself and realized she’d kept him waiting for minutes she held the phone back to her ear. “S-sorry. I-i thought you were Alya. H-hi Adrian. Wh-what’s up?”
“Hi Marinette. I was wondering if you’d want to come over.”
“L-like to your house?”
“Yes, to my house.”
“To do what?” She asked without thinking.
“To play video games.”
“Oh, sure. I’ll be right over.”
“Okay. Bye Marinette.”
Then they hung up.
Marinette freaked out and called Alya to tell her what had just happened.
She took ages trying to find an outfit to wear and when she finally settled on one, she headed over to Adrian’s with Tiki.
**in Adrian’s bedroom**
“S—so, what game are we playing?”
“Cat and mouse.”
“I’m sorry?”
“I’m joking marinette. I didn’t actually want to play video games. I wanted to talk.”
“A—about what?”
“Love, what else?” Marinettes heart was racing at the thought of talking about Love with the one person she loves the most in the world.
“W—what an—about it?” She stammered.
“You see, I’m in love with someone, but she’s in love with someone else.” Could he possibly be talking about me? Marinette thought. “She told me that the person she loves and I are complete opposites, but if she knew who I was deep down, who I really was without the mask, the way you do marinette, then maybe she’d love me as much as I love her.”
That’s strange. I had just told that exact thing to Chat Noir earlier today. Marinette thought.
“Without the mask?” She questioned, quickly piecing things together.
“Metaphorically.” He quickly corrected himself.
“But, maybe if you saw behind her mask, you wouldn’t love her the same.” Marinette said, realizing who Adrian is.
How horrible would it be if Adrian found out that Ladybug was just plain old Marinette? What if he doesn’t love her anymore? What if he doesn’t want to be friends anymore. Marinette couldn’t bare the thought.
“No, but I would. She’s special Marinette. The way she thinks quick on her feet, the way she always finds the good in people, the way she always figures out a way to save the day. The way she never gives up. She completes me. If I had ent met her when I did, who knows where I’d be right now? She actually reminds me of you Marinette. Always helping people and putting others first. I don’t know where I’d be without you either.”
“Adrian, I—“
“You’ve changed my life Marinette, and for that, I’ll always owe you.” He leaned closer to Marinette, and kissed her in the cheek. She had never been more red then she was in that moment.
“Wh-where’s t-the bath—bathroom?” Adrian pointed to the door and she stumbled over to it and shut the door behind her.
“T—tiki, h—he just k-kissed me.”
“You need to tell him how you feel.”
“N—never. I can’t! He’s in love with ladybug. I’m not ladybug. I’m just Marinette.”
“But you are ladybug. He’s in love with you, just tell him you’re in love with him too.”
“I—I can’t. At least not as Marinette.”
A loud bag came from outside, it was an akumatized villan.
“Perfect timing. Tiki, spots on!”
*After the battle*
“Kitty, can I talk to you about something.”
“Anything M’Lady”
“I’ve thought a lot about what you’ve said, and I need to get something off my chest.”
“What is it?”
“There’s no easy way to say this.”
“Whatever it is bugaboo, it can’t be that bad.”
“But it is.”
“What is it?” Marinette took a deep breath in then let it out.
“I know your secret identity.”
“W—what?!”
