Wind that whips my hair around

Fire that consumes the very ground

Earth that will move and shift and grow

Water with its endless bountiful flow

How barren the earth would be

Without the elements to last for eternity

Would man have survived

If not for the great elements who thrived

They provide and destroy

Though to them, we mortals are a mere toy

Perhaps more like the elements we should be

But we’ll never compare to the likes of thee
