Schrödinger's Silence
As far as I’m concerned
Silence doesn’t exist
It’s an emptiness of sorts
A temporary bliss
Ah a moment of quiet
But if one actually listens
The ants; the grass, they scream
And the flowers are loudly wiltin’
Silence is superficial
Close enough to soundless
That to the careless and inattentive
There is nothing else I guess
There is no sound if no one listens…
As for those more observantly-inclined
A symphony of minutia is a sound
That will be around all the time
So sit for a minute
Close your eyes
I challenge you to notice
The sounds that get left behind
In other universes
Parallel to mine
