POEM STARTER
‘All that glitters is not gold.’
Write a poem that begins with this line. What might this common saying lead you to explore?
Water Makes Things Shine
Even if it glitters, is it really glory
Not all with a cover is a worthwhile story
Glittering like midday,
Under the moons ray
Life will reveals its true plight
For everything must look good to be right
Everybody applauds as the orchestra begin
Does anyone acknowledge the hours put in,
But all is hidden to make people look just
Yet the truth lies the below the crust,
Whether you have judged for hot or for cold
A different truth can be told
Time will reveal what is real
Even the truth will unfold
Regardless if it shines like paper or gold.
