POEM STARTER

Write a tanaga about how sunshine makes you feel.

A tanaga is a form of Filipino poetry often compared to haikus. Tanagas use 4 lines of 7 syllables each, and are often full of metaphors.

Blind Beauty

Warm rays dance upon her skin, Whispers of light's soft embrace, Nature sings a tender hymn, Sun's love, unseen, leaves its trace. Golden streams from cloudless space, Beauty that her heart perceives. Sunlight’s gentle touch of grace, In darkness, light she receives. Blue skies send a gentle kiss, Blindness hides not warmth's caress. Heart at peace in Summers Bliss, Felt, not seen, her world's no less.
