Dragons Breath
Snarling, hissing, vicious bird in the sky,
Did we anger you by burning your nest?
Is that why you heaved the flames into your angry lungs,
And swallowed heat into your belly,
So that everytime you spoke it would be in our smouldering tongue?
Because it seems,
The only language we understand,
Is that which is born from vengeance and destruction.
Fire breather, wind seeker,
You and your brothers were not born monsters,
In the beginning,
Your only purposes were to churn the air into clouds,
And soothe this broken world with your cradle songs.
We were the ones who gave you your fire,
It was us who made you this way.
