POEM STARTER

Write a poem exploring mistakes and redemption.

Humans are fallible, and often the best stories come from our errors. What might you discuss in this poem?

Bombardon Bay

She lived down by Bombardon bay She fell for a new man each day A married woman with a ring Does not belong in a fling But she took nothing seriously She never acted precariously Until a day when a man had told her something To others it might’ve meant nothing But he told her that he knew a man of faith A man with a soul A man who loved her A man who wanted to make her a mother And she realized that man was her husband And she confessed to her wrongs and asked to make amends And he forgave her He knew if he hadn’t, no other man would save her So he made her a mother indeed From there on, there’d be no other man she’d mislead
