The True Identity of R Speed
The Super Hero of Kansas Missouri was an African American man, in his late 30s, and was named R Speed. His power was super speed and super strength. He had muscular arms and legs and an eight pack. His super hero suit was red and black, and had white thin stripes going all around it. His voice was thick and smooth as honey, and he had a great sense of humor. R Speed would help the police in crimes, and the firefighters in emergencies. R Speed wasn’t known to the public, but he was popular amongst the police stations and fire departments. R Speed’s true identity was Ryan Buckley—a man who was a famous attorney and lived in Sunset Hill West; a small wealthy area in Kansas City. Ryan kept his true identity a secret, because he thought he would ruin his reputation. Ryan was dating one of the female police officers—Kelly Tyler. A strong black woman, in her early 30s. Kelly was stern but had a love for people. Even though Ryan and Kelly had been dating for three years, Kelly didn’t know that Ryan was R Speed.
On a Sunday night, Ryan was on a date night with Kelly. They went to a luxurious restaurant in Stanford Garden—another wealthy area in Kansas. Ryan wore a sleek black suit, with white Russell Loafers, while Kelly wore a long white silk dress, a red fur coat, and diamond earrings dangling from her ears. Ryan and Kelly were placed at a two seated table, eating their baked salmon and shrimp. While they were eating, Ryan excused himself to the restroom. When Ryan went into the restroom, he was relieved to know that he was the only one in there. He looked at himself in the mirror, and took out a proposal ring from his pocket. The ring shined so bright, that if you looked at it long enough, you would become blind. Ryan checked himself in the mirror one more time to make sure he looked decent, and then took a deep breath before walking out the
bathroom.
When Ryan got back to the table, where Kelly was still munching on her salmon, he started giving her a speech of how much he loved her. Kelly was flattered and was having a difficult time hiding her smile. After Ryan was finished giving his speech, he got out of his seat, stood next to wear Kelly was sitting, and got down on one knee. Kelly stopped eating and turned around in her seat so she could be facing Ryan. When Ryan pulled out the proposal ring from his pocket; tears started rolling out of Kelly’s eyes. Ryan asked Kelly to marry him, and Kelly jumped out of her seat and said yes over and over again. The people who were near them heard the news, and clapped for them.
After Ryan and Kelly left the restaurant, Ryan took Kelly home. Kelly called every person in her family to let them know about the exciting news. The next day there was a shooting happening at a Albertsons downtown. Every Police Officer in Kansas was at the scene. The suspect had shot eight people in the store, and was trying to get away by car. Luckily R Speed was there. He had caught the suspect with his super speed, and lifted the criminal’s car off the ground with his super strength. R Speed took the suspect to the officers to be arrested. All the police officers that were there, clapped for R Speed, for helping them with their job. Kelly had showed off her ring to R Speed. R Speed laughed and said,” Congratulations, Kelly.”
When Ryan got to his home, after the super hero work and his attorney job, he had this bad feeling in his stomach. He knew he needed to tell Kelly that he was R Speed. Months went by and Ryan and Kelly were getting closer to their wedding. Ryan was still debating on when he should tell Kelly. He had came a few times close to telling her, but didn’t have the guts yet to allow the words to drop out of his mouth. When the day of the wedding came, Ryan decided to tell Kelly, he went to the room where she was preparing at, and let the words spill. Kelly was furious and took the ring off. Ryan and Kelly didn’t get married. Ryan became severely depressed and later committed suicide.
