A mosaic of everyone I have loved and lost, that is what I am. A puzzle set who’s pieces are molded and colored with an authenticity that is wholly my own. No one piece is the same, nor are they made from the same clay. Yet every piece fits perfectly together in harmony. One puzzle piece, a once rich and vital part of the puzzle, now fits rigidly in with cracks threatening to crumble. For years this piece was bestowed upon my canvas by my eldest sister. A relationship once booming with vitality, now shriveled into a dry desert. But fear not, for this piece is soon to have a fresh bed of watered soil, quenched from the five year drought of silence. Another piece, a juvenile piece that matures with every new day, is forming by the hands of my first real friend in college. Her piece is the sweetest chaos. A piece that will continue to form with every late-night study date, coffee run, and midnight walks amongst campus. Many more have and will add to my collection, the same way I wish to add to theirs.
