I love the rain

The way it falls off my nose like smelling a rose

feeling the mud between my toes

Chosing to be happy and not sappy

promised to myself not to lie and tell my inner child that it won’t happen to us again

To be whole and to obtain the life that was never given

To be always driven to keep the motivation that I know that’s within

I look to the rain that fills that whole that burden chase it down with another glass of bourbon

Just sitting in the rain

For that pain to just run off my nose like the feeling of the first time smelling a rose

Letting that inner child of mine

Rest and grow

Just to learn to flow

Like that midsummer storm that forms for me

That I can only see

Like waves crashing in the deep blue sea

So for you to get to know me

And see me for me

Is a whole different meaning

That I’ve been feaning and leaning towards to be a better human being
