we struggle as a whole

but we struggle alone

there is power in numbers

but we choose to move on our own

united has been stated in our societal norms

but we’d rather stand divided and cause our own troubling storms

is there a such thing as peace on earth?

i’ve hoped and prayed since i was a little girl

but the reality is duality & there has to be a balance

for the law states for every action there’s an opposite and equal

& therefore when good is present, so is evil

the human soul is spun like cotton candy on a spindle

wrapped with the universe & godlike features

somehow we’ve managed to search outward for the solutions to our problems

what lies inside of us, together, is the only thing that can solve them.
