Normal?
What is normal? It’s a myth created by societies to tell us how we can and cannot be. Our differences make us what we can call ourselves. Society has convinced so many of us that we aren’t normal, aren’t worthy of love, aren’t beautiful. The weeds amongst wildflowers are often passed by, being seen as easy, harmful, ugly. They are overshadowed by the colors of the wildflowers they flourish with. Weeds can blossom too. Dandelions are often seen as a sign of hope or wishes. The wishes of a child are whispered, a secret between them and the fluffy seeds, before being blown away and carried aloft the wind. Weeds are resilient and grow strong despite what society says. It’s a whole ecosystem that thrives on the existence of one another. There will always be someone to pick you and entrust you with their secrets, no matter how fleeting.
