Moving slowly through The Swamp, our hero tactfully surveys his surroundings. The village has strict rules prohibiting anyone to enter this area, because many have ventured there and never returned. Stories of ogres, exiled witches, and mysterious creatures spread throughout the village like wildfire. Two weeks ago, a young girl disappeared into this cursed area. Some believe she was kidnapped. Others theorize she got lost. Most villagers seem to believe The Swamp swallowed her whole like a whale that is peaceful until it’s hungry. Our hero spent the two weeks since her disappearance gathering supplies for his journey. He repaired his canoe, packed a few water canteens, and brandished his trusty rapier. The villagers all called him a madman for going into The Swamp. What they didn’t know was that the missing girl is his daughter..
