Dancing In The Rain

Frosty winters drift on by

You ask, “Why don’t we try?”

We sink out of bed,

Despite logic, you led

We circled round and round the square

We danced all night, then and there

You asked, “Shall we?”

And did he

Join in with our mischievous dare

Dancing in the rain together

Our feet felt as light as a feather

Pitter-Patter

Spitter-Spatter

Drop.

Sunny Summers arrive.

You ask, “Why don’t we try?”

We try, but fail

And I shall be telling this tale

Of how one Winter we danced in the rain together

And our feet felt as light as a feather.
