The Last Goodbye
I had never thought that I could love someone like him, but life sometimes has its own plans. After all we’ve been through, I have come love him. The boy sat under a Sunglow tree with the stars hanging overhead. My people have always said that I could never love an elf, that they were the monsters of our nightmares. That they were mean and selfish, but that was not the case. I walked up to him and sat beside him under the tree. The boys’ head was lowered, and sadness was in him eyes.
“I suppose, that you can’t come back to the Elvish Forest with me?” The boy with point ears, light blond hair, and dreamy emerald green eyes asked, looking at me. The scars that were upon his face that he got in the battle had scabbed up. I shook my head and lowered it.
“I can’t, the whole village would be an uproar if I did, and they would say that I would bring shame on my family.” Tears swelled up in my eyes as i spoke this burden. He was the one I loved, not the others my family would try and get me to love.
“But if there was just a way that we could—“
“I know, but there isn’t,” I interrupted him. He signed and looked at me.
“Well then, you should probably get back before anyone notices that you’re gone from the palace.”
“you’re probably right, but I don’t want to leave you. I’ll never be able to see you again,” I complained and a tear slipped down my cheek.
“I know, but you’ll be alright. We’ll be alright.” He said and placed his hand on the side of my cheek and he pressed his lips against mine. A moment passed before we separated. Never being able to ever see your best friend again, is hard to get over. The boy stood to his feet and started to walk back to the Elvish Forest, but he paused and turned around to look at me.
“I love you, Bella. I alway have and I always will.”
“I love you too Jacob,” I said letting another tear fall down my face.
“Goodbye Bella, or should I say princess?” He chuckled and turned and walked away, leaving me under the Sunglow tree by myself under the roof of stars.
“Goodbye Jacob, my love,” I whispered and tucked my head into my hands as I cried away my feelings of love for the elvish boy who had stolen my heart.
