POEM STARTER
Your are a college student fawning over your professor during a lecture. Create a poem that is a series of doodles and unrequited phrases about your emotions.
The Ethereal Mrs. Marie.
_God, Mrs. Marie so pretty…_
She’s like a rose in a garden,
That I wanna pick from a bush,
And admire in my dorm room..
_Oh, I’d be so happy with her…_
I wanna know everything about her;
Her favorite dish or time of day,
Things that bring her to grins or tears…
_I would love to make her feel wonderful…_
I love how she does certain things,
How she writes with grace, how she smiles,
How she presents her lectures to the class…
_I don’t even know what she’s teaching at the moment…_
Her doe eyes are as brown as valentines chocolates,
Her lips look just as sweet,
Her voice is just as rich…
_She’s so kind… so ethereal…_
I can’t last a second near her;
My heart stops, butterflies nag my stomach,
Yet I want to spend my entire lifetime with her…
_I wish she could be all mine…_
But, of course, there’s stupid thorns,
Halting me from picking her from the bush…
She’s straight and married to ‘Mr. Marie’…
_He’s so fucking annoying..._
I can’t believe I’m so in love with my professor,
But I can’t help but be enamored,
I can’t help but drown in unrequited love…
_Maybe one day we’ll be together..._
