You didn’t mean to kill her.

But it had already been done. The damage was back into the past by a minute. The knife was your hand, and it went insane. Your heart raced as you wiped the blood off with a dirty rag. You knew you had to make it look like an accident, or you'd be in for it. The police would never know, right? Surely they wouldn’t suspect an innocent school girl, or would they? You were already feeling guilty but amidst the chaos, a single thought lingered in the back of your mind. A knock on the door rattled against the room, vibration knocking a glass vase down.

You ran.

No one could catch the suspect if they didn’t know where they were. It was the only thing you could do. The only thing that anyone would’ve done if they killed a person. You ran and ran until your legs could no longer carry you. Stopping in an abandoned alley, your legs gave up and sat down, exhausted. The only question was, why would you do this? Who said something that made them a victim?

A screeching sound lurked through the corridors, faint sirens coming from the apartment that the murder happened. You thought of all the possibilities that led to this ending. Silence echoed throughout the area, rats scattered dead through bushes and fences. Stray cats play fighting and running down the streets. This was all a part of your life. Knowing who the murderer was, you decided to take off one again and keep it safe from a potentially life-threatening situation. As far as anyone knew, this was your environment know. For as long as this problem could go on without a solution.
