Run
Maria tried not to feel fearful as she dragged her eight-year-old brother Peter across a strange new town or city. They came to a stop when she spotted a skeleton figure pulling a thick nylon rope that was tied to the Clapper of a ginormous rusted bell. a loud CLANK! vibrated through the cobblestone ground. A sudden mist arose and tormenting figures begin to leave the old broken down homes.
Woah! Look sis, those rags hanging from that stone wall is a bit scary”
“Don’t talk to loud peter, I have a feeling these are not people”
“Intruders! Catch them” a voice shouted, a bursting flame in the strange silence
“We are so dead”, peter murmured
“Yep, that exactly what we are at the moment” she hastily responded.
A gust of mist formed a human figure and begin to move towards them.
“wait” another voice interrupted.
The same skeletal figure walked towards them and an olive green robe covered him. Maria wondered how the poor thing could possibly stand the weight of the clothing for he was only bones.
“ What are you two doing here, you are not supposed to be able to see the city”
“The city of what exactly?” asked Peter he was curious of why these beings didn’t look like him and his sister.
“The City Of Death” his voice lowered with an unexpected darkness.
Maria tightened her grip on her brother and whispered “run!” both of them took off alarming the residents of the city. Maria cut through the wind faster than she ever had before, her adrenaline rising rapidly. They burst through the doors on the other side and they never looked back.
