The Man
I ran quickly along with the rain that drops viciously from the night sky and never thought about taking a break even if I’m soaked from the water. I always loved the rain that I used to dance under it and allow everything about me being all covered in water. But now, it’s scary that the thunder comes here and there sometimes. No cars were in sight except them being parked.
I hated when I’m the only one out here bolted across the street to get home and when I’m finally outside the doorstep, I fished inside my pocket and took out my three different keys then tried to find the right one to get inside the apartment. The unease still rested inside of me and the fear of someone within the dark of the rainy day watching my back was creepy.
I checked the different keys each one when I can’t fit the right one and I shivered from the freezing harsh wind that collided onto me. Even my jacket isn’t enough to keep me warm. And when I once again fit the right key I rushed inside and closed the door behind me quietly to prevent anyone from wake up from the loud sound i would make by shutting the door a bit too harshly.
After gaining my confidence back, I glanced behind me to see if anyone was there—staring at me through the window and what I saw drained all the colors of my face…
I saw a man with no eye color except white and it’s mouth looks like the werewolf from the movies mouth. He had pure white skin and his head was tilted to the side with his mouth slightly agape. My heart pounded against my chest at an abnormal pace.
Wasting no time I dashed inside the elevator and pressed the floor button hard. As the two elevator doors about to close, I saw the most creepiest smile. His grin was so wide that it showed all of its sharp teeth in the doorstep, Through the window. His eyes were big like an owls and his head was completely straight.
And that is enough to give me nightmares tonight.
