Final Goodbye

“This isn’t how I planned for things to go, Abbigail. I’m sorry” he slowly floated down, hearing my feet echo across the rooftop.

“What are you doing here, Sky? You should still be resting after yesterday’s fight downtown. Stop the usual bravado.” Her flowing amber hair shined in the moonlight as silence was an invisible wall between them.

Sky winced with every movement letting blood dripped from the man’s arm . “I can’t rest now, this is the best chance against Demise. He’s always getting stronger and at this point I don’t know if I’ll make it back this time so I’m here now.”

In a world where words had power, the masked man lifted off the upper face mask he always wore. Showing Abbigail her best friend while he’s still alive.

She gasped as the truth set in. “It was you the whole time? All those times I was worried sick about you when you missed work!?”

[Luke Veil, The King of Faith has revealed himself]

These words floated above himself, grimacing as the girl entered into his embrace. He brushed her hair slightly as he reflected. “I’ve been terrible I know, and I can’t stop making you worried until my last breath.”

Abbigail looked up as she felt her clothes feel wet with blood. “What changed? Luke you’re scaring me, I know you’re in pain but why are we here.”

Luke tighten his arms around Abby, only looking at the sky making his expression unknown. “I thought it’d be unfair to not see my little crybaby get worried over a few scratches.” He chuckled.

The heat from her frustration was imminent as she gave a blow to his chest and a tear drop flowing down her cheek. “I said stop with the usual bravado didn’t I? Now stop being dramatic and show that devil who’s coming for him.”

That’s all it took for him to get the determination to dive into Hell all over again. “See you soon.” He floated into the sky and turned into a distant sight in seconds.

Abbigail stifling her sobs, staying behind knowing she couldn’t let the man she loved go on fighting with sadness in his heart. The clouds covering the moon stopped all light, foreshadowing the events to come.
