WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a short story or paragraph in passive voice only.
The passive voice places emphasis on the thing rather than the person doing the thing: e.g. “The book was read” rather than “She read the book”.
Massive Passive
Sitting there in an entranced state was the audience.
Frozen in their minds by a beauty unknown.
Forever trapped in a state of absolute fear by the horror staring at them.
But from the outside there was nothing to see but a bunch of dancing maniacs.
