Careful The Stove Is On
Touch the stove when it’s hot and you’ll get burned. Learning this lesson required blistering and pain that makes every one of my hairs stand up as I walk by a stove that hot and feel the sensation: it’s Scorching, my arm automatically flinches away. Here to I’ve learned that forgiveness is in the now, but my heart and souls flinch at the familiarity of a healing wound being picked, poked and even grazed. Forgiving comes swiftly but the reaction of forgetting, that takes time, care, grace, and lessons that remind us not to touch any stove that’s on. However, learn that not all stoves are ON. Thus giving us freedom to one day, not flitch at the sound, touch, and feel of this ever familiar wound.
