It’s hard to find a place where you feel belonging, confidence, and positivity, especially when you constantly have to change what you call “home.” I have never stayed in one place more than five years and struggle to find belonging in a place no one seems to accept difference in.

Writing is a solace for me; it whisks me into worlds beyond my own and provides a spark of hope. Fictional characters are always there for me and the authors seem like close friends. Although I know my chances of meeting both are pretty much impossible, literature is a way of life for me.

I recently took a Creative Writing class that offered writing prompts at the beginning of each class. The school year is ending soon, so I tried looking on Pinterest to find prompts I could write. I scrolled through the App Store and found this wonderful platform. I decided to give it a go.

I have only been on here for a couple days, but I already feel like I have a place I can express myself in and will be accepted. I want to learn to improve my writing, so I will gladly take your advice, feedback, and suggestions! Thank you for being such a positive community, you are amazing!
