I’m searching for more joy in my life

Trying to learn something new every day

I think the key is to start on the inside

To change the way you think

About life, but more importantly about yourself

It’s hard not to judge your every move

To question the decisions you make

To actually applaud yourself for who you are

And for trying your best

I think there is more joy to be found

By accepting that you’re good as you are

By being your own support and biggest fan

By telling yourself that you’re doing the best you can

There is so much to learn in life

But the first lesson probably is

That you’re a miracle and that you are joy

So perhaps when your searching for joy, you’re searching for yourself.

Know that this world is a better place with you in it

It’s not always easy, but find the joy within

And know that you can then bring the joy out in the world

You are joy
