The door was cool and heavy, but I was sure they were gone. The forbidden door. The one I could never open. I pushed on it lightly, after unlocking the padlock on it. I’d finally discovered the location of the key— hidden away inside an old book. Stupid of them really. The door fell away easily, and I ran up the steps. Double doors awaited me this time. But surprisingly they were unlocked. And suddenly there was light and color. Like I had never known or seen And color. Green and blue and white and brown. So radiant and beautiful. What was this place?
