Flight
Write a poem about an animal flying. It could be from the perspective of the animal, someone watching their flight, or anything connected. Try to build an atmosphere related to the perspective you write from.
Leaping
You wouldn’t expect it,
But I saw my dog fly,
If I’m being honest about this,
It was a magical moment gone by.
Now even I know that,
Dogs can’t fly yes,
But I have seen one soar,
His leap took him far away.
He didn’t think about far he would make it,
Of if he would fall and hurt himself,
His innocence and aim inspired me,
I wish I could make that flight.
