Lost and Found

A lady wearing sunglasses, simple clothing and a big sunhat is looking down while slightly fidgeting and faintly smiling as she gets out of an animal shelter. She holds up a covered-up cage with a cat inside it. “See. Here’s your new home,” the lady says sweetly yet softly as she lifts up the cloth so the caged cat could see. The cat got up when she heard the lady. The cat stretched and yawned, letting her already extended ribs extend out even further. After stretching and yawning, the cat started scratching behind her ripped-off ear with dried blood on the edges of the ear. The cat still being near the backside against the cage. “Oh, come on. Don’t be so shy,” the lady says reassuringly. The cat slowly got closer to the front side of the cage. The cat sees a wide apartment building, which makes the cat slightly smile. The bright light from the sun reflected off one of the windows on the apartment building. The light got in the cat’s face, making the cat back away to where he once was in the cage. The cat becomes startled until he starts blinking and shaking his head, bringing himself back in the present moment. The cat stops shaking and blinking, looking down to see the light right at its feet. The light fidgets back and forth, up and down uncontrollably. The cat was befuddled by the light, even more befuddled when long, thin arms stayed emerging from the light. The cat backed away, horrified. The cat watched as the light dispersed throughout the covered-up cage and was forming a monstrous structure. The light got bigger and more deformed as the cat froze, staring and lowering her ears out of terror. The cat so scared, the cat charged at the cage’s entrance and got out of its cage. The cat crashed onto the ground as the entrance of the cage fell onto the ground. The cat was running away, far away from her owner. “Hey, come back!” the lady shouted, running after the cat. The cat was running and running as the lady was struggling to get after the cat. The cat was running, running, and still running until it tripped over a water bottle cap, rolling over and falling down on the ground. The cat was on her face and stomach. The cat got up, feeling lightheaded. As the cat was waking up, the cat was feeling strange. The cat felt uncomfortable as she felt her paws against this solid thing that she was standing on. The cat looked at the solid thing she was on. It got closer. And it got closer. It got closer until her nose got caught in one of the cracks. The cat tried to get her nose out but it was really struggling to. The crack started to form sharp, jagged teeth, growl, and suck on her face. The cat felt the teeth against her head and shook her head back and fourth rapidly, trying to get out before her whole face got stuck in the crack. The cat felt the crack’s teeth against the sides of her face as she was getting sucked. The cat shook her head harder and harder. The crack started to really sink its teeth into the cat’s body, and the cat shook her head with all her might. The cat finally got out of the crack and fell over on her backside. The cat slowly got up from getting off her right side and was in some pain as she was standing on his paws that were constantly vacillating. The cat tried to continue walking but struggled to from falling. It got easier for the cat with each step it took. The cat started to walk in a more normal way and was happy that she felt better. The cat continued to walk until she heard something far away. A loud stomping noise that was constant and was getting louder with every stomp. The cat looked over and saw this figure moving, causing the stomps. The figure kept moving, kept causing the stomps. The cat saw the figure get closer. It got bigger and bigger. The cat saw this giant approaching and was deathly scared by it. The cat turned around and ran away from the giant. The cat ran and ran from the giant. As the cat was running, it turned its head around to look back at the giant. The cat was mortified by what she saw, especially what was coming underneath his shoes. How they had sticky remains of other animals such as flies, worms, and was further filthied by mud and grass. The cat ran away as fast as it possibly could from the giant. As the cat was running away, the cat saw the path that he was running on changed form and was going left and right at a constant rate. The cat was confused by the curving path, but the cat did not care as long as she was able to get away from that giant. The cat ran and ran until the cat ran for so long that he had to stop and rest. The cat was in some alleyway. The cat looked around the alleyway to see if the giant was still there but the giant wasn’t in the alleyway at all. The cat was overjoyed that it did not have to see the giant again. However, the cat started to notice this darkness and how that darkness was getting closer to the cat. The cat walked to where the darkness was, trying to touch it. The darkness got closer, touching the cat’s paw. The cat was interested by how the darkness felt and had somewhat of a liking to the darkness. The darkness then moved past the cat’s paw and got to the cat’s front body. The cat couldn’t see anything, anything but the darkness. The cat tried moving backwards to get out of the darkness, but the darkness kept getting closer and closer to the cat. The cat was startled by the darkness, how the darkness would not stop moving. As the cat was shaking, the cat started to see something emerge out of the darkness. The cat squinted her eyes and turned her head to the right, confused and still afraid. What was emerging was a giant. The cat was stunned, backing away until it unknowingly bumped into one of the sides of the alleyway. The giant from the darkness walked towards the cat. The cat shook and shook, licking and scratching herself all over. As the cat was licking and scratching, the giant spread her arms and bent over, reaching out to the cat while walking. The cat instantly looked away and cowered. The cat got grabbed by this giant, and the giant lifted her up. The giant started walking away from the alley. The cat could not stand being held by this giant. The cat started thinking of another giant she had to deal with. In her thoughts, there is a kitten who has her ribs sticking out and tries to comfort her owner by walking around this giant, purring and putting her furry body against the giant’s legs as the giant was sitting down on its porch. The giant was reading a newspaper, and it got to a part where he got up, pushed the kitten away, and walked off its porch angrily. “I can’t believe it! Those people put a picture of THAT?! THAT, out of all things?! I look like a moron! A total idiot!” shouted the giant as it threw the newspaper to the ground. The giant was annoyed, turned over to look at the kitten. The giant went from aggressively frowning to deviously smiling at the kitten. The kitten was thrilled seeing her giant coming to her. Once the giant got close enough, the giant picked up the kitten and took her over to the fence. “You’ve been such a good girl today!” Shouted the giant gleefully. “I think you should get a reward for being just so good, so cute,” said the giant, very close to the kitten’s face, making a cutesy face. The kitten got more thrilled while being in the giant’s arms. “I think you really earned this!” the giant shouted as the giant shoved the kitten into the barbed-wire fence. The kitten was screeching in agony as it had to shake her head back and fourth, trying to get out. “Look, ya going to stay here for a bit, got that?” The giant said as he was lowered to where the kitten was on the barbed-wire fence. The giant got up and walked back to the porch. The kitten was stuck being on the fence. The kitten was moving her head back and fourth, back and fourth, and so on. The cat was shaking the whole barbed-wire fence as she moved back and fourth. The cat was starting to get loose but one of her ears got stuck on the edges of the barbed-wire. Nonetheless, she still kept shaking, shaking, and shaking until she finally got out. She fell on her right side as she lied on the ground, bleeding from her ear getting ripped off. “What the-what just happened?!” shouted the angered giant. The giant got off its porch and stomped to where the cat was. “I put you there to make things better for us. So we both could have fun,” said the giant as he was stomping. “Me, sitting over there, having a nice moment to myself. You, being on that fence so you can do the same thing!” shouted the giant. But no, you just had to do this to yourself!” shouted the giant as he had his arms sticking out, towards the cat. “You don’t know how much trouble you’re putting me in!” shouted the giant once again. “Well, not yet, atleast,” says the giant as he smiles as he gets his hands out to grab the scared, trembling kitten. The cat got out of her head, took out her left paw and swatted the giant in the face. The giant let go of the cat and went down to its knees, putting its hands over its face. The cat fell on the ground, but the cat quickly got up, looked at the giant, hissed, and ran away.

That is, until the cat stopped running when it heard the giant sobbing. The cat came to a full stop and looked back at the giant. The giant got up from its knees and walked out of the alley way, the light shining brightly against the lady who got the cat out of the animal shelter. She was starting to fidget again, moving her fingers and twisting her arms close to her head as she dropped herself down on the ground angrily. She threw her sunhat and put her hands over her face. The cat got closer to the lady, sobbing uncontrollably. “I just wanted to have a fresh start since he left me,” said the lady “But……….maybe…….he was right. I can’t do it without him,” said the lady as she takes off her sunglasses, revealing a scarred, whitened eye, and sits on the ground. Her elbows were touching her knees as she was touching her cheeks, still feeling the hit from the cat. The lady looked to her side and was surprised to see the cat being close to her, watching her. The cat slowly rubbed herself against the lady and purred. The cat sat next to her. “Oh. Well, I guess I can do atleast something,” the lady said as she put her arms down and wrapped her arm around the cat. The cat laid her head on the lady’s leg. The lady picked up her sunhat behind her and put it back on her head. She continued to stay close to the cat, faintly smiling once again.
